For optimized performance of the XLC4 control unit adapt the power supply voltage to the properties of the connected LED modules.

The input current depends on the following values:

    • V_IN

    • voltage of the connected LED modules

    • current of the connected LED modules

    • internal consumption

    • current at VOUT

    Internal consumption:

    • < 100 mA @ 26.8 V

    • < 130 mA @ 12.0 V

    Voltage difference

A smaller voltage difference between V_ANODE and V_IN results in much lower internal power dissipation and in higher efficiency.

Efficiency of the switching regulator of the XLC4
    Measured with Corona II, channel current = 1000 mA, V_ANODE = 38 V

    Supply current

    Input current IInput = 20 A

The output current of the power supply depends on the following parameters:

    • LED module type

    • number of connected LED modules

    • maximum used output current of the XLC4 control unit

NOTE - Choosing correct supply current

Define the used channels and the desired output current.
