Several XLC4 control units can be connected to a single RS485 control bus.
Serial configuration | Value |
---|---|
Baud rate | 115200 |
Data bits | 8 |
Stop bits | 1 |
Parity | None |
To access a dedicated XLC4 control unit in the bus, program individual device IDs for each bus member. (Factory default is ID=1). Use the command ID.
If accessing a selected XLC4 device in the RS485 bus, each command has to be preceded by an address qualifier. An address qualifier is preceded by a ‘#’ sign. Valid device IDs are in the Range from 1 to 15 (hexadecimal #1 to #F). A command with the address qualifier #0 is accepted from all XLC4 control units in the bus, independent of their individual device ID.
When addressing directly with #1 to #F a response is sent. When sending a broadcast message with #0, no response is sent.
Example
Query | Action |
---|---|
#3 IY A 1000 | Channel A of XLC4 control unit with ID=3 is set to 1000 mA |
#E LC G 1 | Second Corona II module of XLC4 control unit with ID=14 is switched on |
#0 LC 0 | All channels of all XLC4 control units on this bus are switched on |
