GCT 2.8.0 (September 2024)

Release Notes:

Changes and new features

• GCT checks the connectivity to the camera periodically adn informs the user if the camera connection is lost.

• The design of FrameTrigger and LineTrigger plugins are modified and will be constructed based on the availability of "FrameBurst" feature.

• Zoom functinality is added to the "Select ROI" window. Helps with increased correctness to select ROI.

• DSNU and PRNU calibration data generation is extended for MONO8 type images.

• Qt6 libraries are used to design the UI elements of GCT application.

• In Performance-Tool application, Image-Info-block can be deactivated.

• Modification in Kithara-TL for better error handling and suppressing error and warning messages.

• Documentation of "Calibration_Generator" sample project is updated in the source file.

• "TestPattern-Generator" and "User-Set-Control" plugin tabs are moved to "Acquisition-Control" tab.

• Visual-Studio redistributable(14.40.33810.0) is added to the GCT-Installer application. The redistributable is installed by default.

• Shading reference data(DSNU/PRNU) can be created from RGB10, RGB12, RGBA10 RGBA12, MONO10 and MONO12 images.

Bug fixes

• Single channel view mode for offline mode images functioning is fixed.

• In PRNU generation, correct calibration data will be generated with extrapolation and ROI setup.

• User-set cannot be changed anymore during image acquisition.

Changes and new features

• Outlier suppression will be done only for pixels in ROI area between the left and right extrapolation columns.

• In DSNU/PRNU dialog, line plots and histograms will be updated and displayed for the the selected ROI region.

• GCT recognizes that a camera has been powered off and disconnected and informs the user with a dialog.

• User-set load button is disabled during streaming.

Bug fixes 

• Fixed problem in generating sample projects with cmake.

• Histogram and line-plots are displayed for the image captured in Frame-trigger mode.

• Fixed Select-ROI feature of line plots in DSNU/PRNU generator dialog. 

• Exposure time is updated properly when line-rate is changed.

• New Functions added to CSI SDK  

• SDK Functions to generate calibration data and upload it to camera and save the file in PC is added.

• A new sample to demonstrate usage of DSNU/PRNU generator SDK functions.

• Opening and displaying 10 bit and 12 bit images in GCT viewer.    

• Images can be saved in LZW compressed TIFF format.

• In the Adjustment tool, the view type, single view channel is enabled.  

• Mono image's line-plot and histogram feature is enabled.

• The SDK function "csiGetNextImage" has been modified. The second function argument is changed from csiNewBufferEventData* to csiNewBufferEventData**. This output variable that contains the acquired image data must be modified accordingly

• A new view-type "Single-channel" is added. This view type displays just the selected channel's image data onto the image view
