Let the device cool down before carrying out any work on it.

Safety instructions

  • Only technicians of Chromasens GmbH are permitted to open or slacken screws or housing sections of the device.
  • Inform all persons working on the machine or system before carrying out any work on the device.
  • Disconnect the power supply before carrying out any work on the device.
  • To avoid the risk of fire let the device and other devices such as radiators or heaters cool down.
  • Do not immerse the device in cleaning liquid or pour cleaning liquid over the device.
  • Always use a soft cleaning cloth.
  • Necessary repairs may only be carried out by Chromasens GmbH.

Cleaning

During operation of the device particles such as dust can decrease the performance.

Cleaning intervals

Specify regular cleaning intervals depending on your ambient conditions and the degree of soiling.

Check the device for visible external damage before cleaning.

Damage to the acrylic screen
When using the more fragile acrylic screen refer to the following safety instructions:
  1. only use a mild soap or detergent and water
  2. use a clean, soft cloth or sponge for cleaning
  3. rinse well
  4. use a damp cloth or chamois for drying
To remove tar, grease, paint, etc., only use naphtha or kerosene of good grade. Refer to the manufacturer's instruction manual.

Do NOT use:
  • window cleaning fluids
  • scouring compounds
  • gritty cloths
  • leaded or ethyl gasoline
  • alcohol
  • acetone
  • carbon tetrachloride

There is no need to remove parts of the device for cleaning.

  1. Disconnect the power supply.
  2. Let the device cool down.
  3. Clean the housing and the front glass of the light with a soft, moist and lint-free cloth. The use of isopropanol as a cleaning liquid for the front glass is optional, refer to the manufacturer's manual.
  4. Inspect the device to ensure that cleaning was effective and repeat if necessary.

Repairing

Irreparable damage to the device
The device may only be opened by technicians of Chromasens GmbH.

In case of damages to the device refer to Chromasens GmbH. Before returning the device for repair contact the Chromasens support and ask for a RMA number.

Disposal
