    Article summary

Command IY is used to query and set the current of the 4 channels of the XLC4 control unit.

    Structure

    Command

    Notes

    CommandID

    IY

IY is only available in “Command mode” and “Bulb mode”

    Parameter

    None

    Channel

    Save state

    Read option

    Parameter

    Value

    Description

    None

    Up to firmware release 4.24:

The stored values for all channels are queried.

    From firmware release 4.25:

The current values for all channels are queried.

    Channel

    “A”

Channel 1 of the XLC4 control unit

    “B”

Channel 2 of the XLC4 control unit

    “C”

Channel 3 of the XLC4 control unit

    “D”

Channel 4 of the XLC4 control unit

    “E”

Corona II  module connected to channel 1

    “F”

Corona II  module connected to channel 2

    “G”

Corona II  module connected to channel 3

    “H”

Corona II  module connected to channel 4

    Current

    Integer value

Defines the output current rating in mA.

The value range is from 200 to 1800.

The maximum current value may be limited due to a the LED color of a connected Corona II module:

    • 1500 mA for red, blue, green

    • 1800 mA for white, IR

    • 1400 mA for UV

    Currentlist

    Save state

    “W”

The current values are stored as new default values.

    Read option

    “S”

    From firmware release 4.25:

    The stored values are queried.

    Response

    iy , space , current , current , current , current

    General notes

If the value for the current is higher than the maximum value an error is indicated.

If no channel is specified the command is applied to all channels.

    Example

    Without parameter

    Query

    Response

    IY

    iy 1000 , 1000 , 1000 , 1000

    Returns the stored/current values.

    With Read option

    Query

    Response

    IY S

    iy 1000 , 1000 , 1000 , 1000

    Returns the stored/current values.

    With Channel

    Query

    Action

    IY A 1000

Channel A is set to 1000 mA

    IY E 450

Current is set to 450 mA for Corona II module connected to channel 1

    IY G 500

Current is set to 500 mA for Corona II module connected to channel 3

    With Current

    Query

    Action

    IY 1000,1000,1000,500

Channel A, B and C are set to 1000 mA.

Channel D is set to 500 mA.

    IY 1000,1000,1000,500 W

Channel A, B and C are set to 1000 mA.

Channel D is set to 500 mA.

All values are set as default.

    IY 300

All channels are set to 300 mA.

Store values as default with save state

When the character “W” is set at the end of the command IY the values are stored as default values.

    Query

    Response

    IY , space , [channel] , space , current , space , “W”

    iy , space , channel , space , current , space , “W”

    iy , space , current , current , current , current , current , space , “W”

    Default values are set:

    • after switching on the XLC4 control unit

    • after setting the control unit to Bulb mode and switching on again the control unit.
